Affordable Housing/Community Facilities (AH/CF)Loan Program

Offering the convenience of one-stop financing, LCD provides loans for the development of various types of affordable housing projects and community facilities projects in the counties of San Mateo and Santa Clara, and on a limited basis in contiguous counties.

Predevelopment and Gap Financing
LCD pools money from member banks and philanthropic investors to provide affordable loans to finance predevelopment expenses and short-term financing gaps.

Acquisition, Rehabilitation, and Construction Financing
LCD pools money from member banks and philanthropic investors to finance the acquisition, rehabilitation, or construction of affordable housing and community facilities projects.

Permanent Financing
LCD can assist developers in obtaining permanent financing from member financial institutions and other permanent lenders. LCD also provides loans to fill permanent financing gaps for affordable housing projects. Funds for these long-term gap loans are provided by the Housing Trust of Santa Clara County.
